Today, I change my perception, and I am surrounded by courage, love and creativity.

Today, I am at peace.

Today, I break all past agreements that have kept me fearful and unhappy.

Loving Beyond YourselfThink of a time when you felt stuck in an emotion you didn’t like – an emotional rut.   The unspoken question we always seem to be faced with during those times is, “Do I want to stay in this place?  Do I want to remain unhappy?”  Unless being unhappy is serving us in some way, the answer is, of course, “No, I don’t want to stay in this emotional rut.”

This life is short and the Universe is patiently waiting to give you what you most desire.  The Universe will gladly support you in moving out of the rut you’re in.   The question then becomes, “How do I do it?”  The answer is simple:  Open yourself to love.  That’s all it takes.  Let me repeat that: OPEN YOURSELF TO LOVE. When you give yourself the permission to love, you give yourself the permission to be, have, and do what you desire; you give yourself the permission to be happy.  You do this by beginning to notice love in all of its forms.

Taco Stuffed Sweet Potatoes

An easy and healthy 30 minute dinner option using whole ingredients, these Taco Stuffed Sweet Potatoes will have your family filled up and happy tonight! It’s a new way to serve up Taco Tuesday, using sweet potatoes instead of tortillas. Welcome 2020!

Prep Time: 20 min
Cook Time: 10 min
Total Time: 30 minutes

  • 2 large sweet potatoes, washed and patted dry with several fork punctures
  • 1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1/2 lb. cooked seasoned turkey meat (or use vegetarian “meat” for a meatless option)
  • 1/2 c. corn kernels
  • 1 avocado, mashed
  • minced onions
  • shredded lettuce
  • chopped cilantro
  • salsa

Either bake your sweet potatoes in the oven at 400 degrees for 30 minutes or until tender OR microwave for 10 minutes. Allow to slightly cool.

Slice each sweet potato into halves. Fluff with a fork.

Either place all of the toppings in small bowls and arrange for a DIY sweet potaco bar (see what I did there?) or just add the toppings to each sliced and fluffed up sweet potato half and serve.

The word yoga means “union,” the joining of all that is other in the One.
