Dear Friends,

Here we are in 2021. How did we all survive in 2020? No matter what your spiritual practice is, now is the time to step deep into a new practice or ritual. If you have been angry, because you lost your job, relationship, or focus, you are probably still stuck and suffering. Suffering is caused by attachment. Therefore, the way to release the suffering is to release the attachment to the object or outcome. Becoming non-attached is not the same as becoming detached. With detachment, there is a feeling of not caring. Non-attachment, however, is the ability to let go of the pain from the past. Non-attachment is letting go of everything that did not work out according to plan. Non-attachment is accepting what is. Non-attachment requires trust in yourself and the Divine. As we accept others and ourselves, we find that our lives begin to experience new freedom and peace that was not present before. Trust that a NEW path will be shown for you in 2021!

One day, we will look back on this time and talk about what we learned, how we grew, and how grateful we were that we remained the course that got us to where we wanted to go.

Love and appreciation,

This year is just beginning and we find ourselves at its threshold, brand-new, fresh transparency through which the Divine can shine.

Patience is defined as “the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble or suffering without getting angry or upset”. Patience is the backbone of kindness.  Without patience, it is almost impossible to extend kindness to anyone.
When we are faced with disappointments or people who are negative that is when the application of patience can be the most helpful.  Utilizing patience with others and ourselves is the best way to avoid being dragged into a negative situation or energy.  Patience can act as a helpful barrier when facing challenging people or situations.  With an attitude and demeanor, we begin to see ourselves separate from challenges and negativity.  We are then able to allow it to be without becoming it.

Today, I am loving, compassionate and patient with myself.

Today, I continue to awaken toward greater wisdom, joy and love.

Today, I release any illusion that does not serve me.

You must risk and go for love and responsibility. Let’s cleanse ourselves as if taking a shower, and rid ourselves of the need to use self-pity in any area of our lives. The truth is we were are able and loving right now. What you want is yours right now. The choice is always yours.

1. Observe the ways you use self-pity to control yourself and others. Tell others of your ways so they will help you let go of self-pity as a way to take care of yourself.

2. What is your "poor me" act telling you about what you aren’t giving yourself? How are you not being good to yourself and giving yourself what you need and want? Give yourself whatever that is!

3. Observe how you feel around those who use self-pity and “poor me". Notice that others feel this way when you are into it. Release and let it go now.

Lightly cooking in butter softens their aggressive flavor and brings out the natural sweetness. Halve small radishes and sauce’ in melted butter until tender; toss with thyme leaves and coarse sea salt, and serve hot.

“We make a living by what we get but we make a life by
  what we give.”
                             Winston Churchill

Patience and acceptance require that you trust your divinely inspired plan for your life. Acceptance and non-attachment can and will expand your realization of the power that flows through you.
