COURAGE AND VULNERABILITY

Courage is defined as the ability to do something that scares one. This fear naturally creates a state of vulnerability. Vulnerability is defined as susceptible to physical or emotional attack or harm.

We often shrivel away from confronting challenges because we feel vulnerable. We feel as if we are not equipped. Being vulnerable is quite natural when one is facing a challenge. It is only in this way that we can learn. There are always challenges that frighten us. The cure will always be using courage to willingly feel vulnerable as we push through to confront the challenge. It is a strong person who is willing to feel vulnerable. It is an even stronger person who works with courage to push through.

Make a decision to identify moments of vulnerability throughout your day. Then apply courage in the moment to handle the feelings of fear of being hurt. Courage can manifest by taking any action or step that you are afraid to take. Take simple actions to confront and handle feelings of vulnerability. Keep notes of your victories and wins no matter how small they may be.
